Getting Here 

Located on the mid north coast of New South Wales, Port Macquarie is easy to get to by all types of transportation, with well developed road, air, rail, and interstate coach services.

By Car

Port Macquarie is approximately 4.5 hours drive north of Sydney and situated just off the Pacific Highway, which bypasses Port Macquarie about 10 km to the west. From the Pacific Highway driving north, exit at the sign posted Oxley Highway for Port Macquarie. If you’re coming from the north, turn left into Hastings River Drive from the Pacific Highway.

By Air - From Sydney

You can fly to Port Macquarie from Sydney by Qantaslink and Virgin Australia. Multiple services run daily and current flights start from $89 each way.

From Brisbane

Flights to and from Brisbane run daily with Virgin Australia with current flights starting at $89 each way.

From Melbourne

There are no direct flights to Port Macquarie from Melbourne. You will need to first fly to Sydney and then fly onto Port Macquarie. For Qantaslink flights call 13 13 13 or Virgin Australia flights call 13 67 89

By Train

Countrylink offer three return train services daily from Sydney to Port Macquarie. The trains stops at Wauchope station which is approximately 20 minutes from Port Macquarie’s town centre. A coach service from Wauchope to Port Macquarie is available on one service. For train timetables and bookings call 13 22 32
